It is a holiday weekend - Memorial Day - and I am remembering with gratitude and reflecting on the grace and mercy of God in my life!
I love to get away and think! I love to get on my sailboat all alone and just think! Sometimes I take a book or my computer into a restaurant to journal when I'm at the lake - and often a server will tease me that I shouldn't be working so hard!
The truth is - I love to reflect - it is not work - it is refreshing!
Other people may prefer to "drink" and "soak in the sun" - but I love to take time to think and reflect - it refreshes me - it fills my cup like nothing else!
So this weekend - I'm remembering - but I'm also reflecting - and refreshing my spirit!
"Then because so many people were coming and going that they did not even have a chance to eat, he said to them, "Come with me by yourselves to a quiet place and get some rest." So they went away by themselves in a boat to a solitary place." - Mark 6:31-32 (NIV)
