I was "scattering seed" today - grass seed - but it got me to thinking about the parable Jesus taught about "sowing seed" (Luke 8:5-15) - reminding me that it is really not our responsibility what happens with the seed, instead our responsibility is to simply spread the seed around!
As I was "sowing" in the yard I was tempted to "save back" some of the seed - not wanting to waste it, but I realized that when I am generous with the seed, there is a greater chance that the results will be good! So I scattered generously!
Of course, in the parable the "seed" is representative of God's Word. The more we share the Word of God, the more we will see the truth of God take root in the lives of those around us!
What about you ... are you sowing generously?

Stan,
I sure hope I am sowing. Trying to be intentional, but my patience (waiting for the seed to germinate) is thin.
In my new line of work with Simpler, I am encouarged by past consultants not to 'give everything (information) too fast. Save some for later. Just not my style, though. The results will be greater if I sow more seed now.
Thanks for sharing.
